When trimmed level, the Firefly 14 is an easy-going touring canoe that runs true. Being compact and optimised for light-tandem paddling, it cuts through any breeze, and it’s forgiving of tired strokes at the end of a long day.

Set up as a dedicated tandem, the Firefly 14 offers a beautifully balanced and graceful ride on moving water, and it the right hands, it will dance on Class 2(3).

Every “traditional” model in the Silverbirch Canoes range benefits from class-leading technical moulding which optimises material distribution in ways which give each hull “engineered strength” based around our tapered-foam technology.

The Firefly 14 Solo is available in two constructions. One prioritises durability over weight and is ideal for professional use. The other is optimised for recreational users in ways which puts Silverbirch Canoes in close competition with more expensive composite or Royalex craft.
