Teen Kayak Academy
Designed for teenagers, our academy helps build confidence both on and off the water & connect with nature in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
Rewarding:
Our five-week course, we will bring teenagers through the following:
- Canoeing Ireland Level 2 River Skills
- RSR 1 (River Safety Rescue)
We believe learning should be active, playful and adventurous. Our sessions combine structured skill development with games, challenges and river exploration so as teenagers can grow as both paddlers and individuals.
- Paddle - Learn essential strokes and techniques guided by qualified instructors
- Play - Experience kayaking through fun challenges and teamwork both on and off the water
- Discover - Explore local rivers, wildlife and the true joy of outdoor adventure

All sessions are led by certified, garda-vetted and first aid trained instructors. We provide all necessary equipment. Teenagers are supported at their own pace with an emphasis on fun, progression and safety first.

Just off the M50 and minuets from Dublin city we are ideally located. Making it easier and accessible for parents to drop off and pick up. Perfect, for paddle, play and discover.

Cancelation Policy
Booking Cancelations
Up to 5 working days before your course date:
- You can receive a full refund or reschedule to a later date.
Within 5 working days of your trip:
- No refunds or rescheduling are available, as our coaches will already have been allocated.
Please note that courses may be rescheduled or cancelled due to excessive water levels. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible.
Important Information
The Canoe Centre reserves the right to refuse participation if:
- You are not complying with safety rules and advise, or
- You are under the influence of drugs or alcohol
No refunds will be provided in these circumstances.
Weather Conditions
We operate in all weather conditions except when there are extreme weather warnings and it is deemed unsafe to proceed.
