Irish Freestyle Clifden Weekend

Last weekend the Freestyle Clifden Beach party was on. It was a two day event. Saturday was a session with coaching and tips followed by a jam format competition on the Sunday. Clifden is a tidal feature so ideal when water levels are low every where else.

Saturday was a lovely warm day on the water with the hole at nice friendly level. They was a great buzz on the water. Great to see everyone helping each other out giving loads of tips and advice.

There was even time for a surf or a swim at the beach that evening followed by a tasty BBQ.

Sunday dawned a bit greyer with less sunshine. There was time again to get a surf or a swim in the lovely Atlantic before the competition began.

There was a great atmosphere in the eddy during the jam format competition. So much fun to get loads of runs in the hole in the heat. The levels of the hole of a bit nicer that the previous day.

Super to see some new faces in the eddy.It was great to catch up with everyone. Massive thanks to Aran Kilroy for organising and putting it all together.
