Gearlab Outdoors Akiak Greenland Paddle

I am not very good with technology so when I decided to order the gearlab akiak carbon Greenland paddle I was pretty sure it didn’t bode well but thanks to Hugh it far better than I expected it finally arrived and it’s a fantastic piece of modern technology not used it yet to Due to a slight lower back problem I have just ordered the paddle bag to go with it and will have paddle when I get back of holiday Hugh and all the staff have been brilliant so thanks again for all your help Rod Damms of Lincolnshire

I had my first outing using the Akiak paddling a heavy 16ft Sea Kayak off the North coast of Ireland in mild-moderate conditions for a couple of hours. I'm no expert with the Greenland style paddle but I found it comfortable and light to hold and just as efficient as my wooden one. The only negative was that I found it a bit sticky when sliding my hands along the blade, but maybe that will improve with practice 🤔
