The Nova Craft Prospector 17 SP3 is a legendary, high-capacity open canoe built for families, expeditions, and hire operators who demand durability above all else. Constructed using SP3 roto-moulded triple layer polyethylene, the hull features two solid outer layers bonded around a foam core middle layer, making it one of the toughest canoes on the market. Its symmetrical shallow arch hull and moderate rocker deliver a superb blend of initial stability and manoeuvrability across flat water, rivers, and coastal conditions. With a generous load capacity of 544 kg, the Prospector 17 SP3 is equally at home on a weekend family paddle as it is on a multi-week wilderness expedition. Varnished ash woodwork, reinforced vinyl gunwales, and a deluxe sculpted ash centre yoke complete this classically appointed, near-indestructible open canoe.
