The Valley Etain 17-1 is the smallest model in the acclaimed Etain range, designed specifically for lighter paddlers seeking a fast, expedition-capable sea kayak with an engaging, connected feel on the water. Built around a neutral hull form with the widest point at the paddler's hips, it delivers predictable handling and a balanced response across a wide range of conditions. A long waterline promotes forward speed and efficient tracking, whilst just enough rocker ensures the kayak remains lively and manoeuvrable. The shallow to moderately V'd keel provides excellent initial stability, making it equally rewarding for day trips and extended coastal expeditions. Already proven on major expeditions, the Etain 17-1 is a refined and capable choice for paddlers in the 40–70 kg range.
