Team Trials in Tuam Hole, Gaway

Last month Irish Team Trials for the Europeans were held in Tuam Hole in Galway. The format was two competitions over the weekend, with both counting for your over all position. There was a great turn out in all classes. The hole was at lovely levels giving optimal conditions to throw down some big moves.

It was great to see everyone giving it everything they had and put down some lovely moves. The standard across all classes was really good, every year the standard in Irish freestyle is improving. Long may it last.

It was a great experience to have two competitions in one weekend. It was a tough battle for everyone to make the team. I really enjoyed competing in my heats. There was a super atmosphere in the eddy with everyone cheering you on during your rides.

It was a great weekend. Massive thanks to Bradley Skidmore and co for organising the weekend. Irish Freestyle is in a really strong positive place at the moment which is super to see. Roll on the Europeans in Plattling in May. Follow updates on the team at https://www.facebook.com/IrishFreestyleTeam.
